MINUTES ( DRAFT) of REORGANIZATION MEETING WPA
Nov 30, 2017
Meeting called to order by President Jacky Walton at 7pm.
Attendance: Larry McMillin, Peggy Phillips, Adam Anderson, Steve Vasey, John Walton, Keith Johnson, Butch Williams, Bob Garrison and Jacky Walton all present.
All board members signed conflict of interest, confidentiality, and ethics statements as required per policy.
Election of officers took place with the following result: Jacky Walton, President (unanimous)
Bob Garrison, Vice President (unanimous) Larry McMillin, Secretary (unanimous) Peggy Phillips, Treasurer (unanimous)
Committee assignments were as follows: ARC- Keith Johnson LEGAL- Bob Garrison FINANCE- Peggy Phillips
COMMUNICATIONS- Larry McMillin COMMUNITY LIASON- Adam Anderson WELCOME COMMITTEE- Butch Williams DRAINAGE- Steve Vasey
WATER AMENITIES- John Walton CONDO LIASON- Steve Vasey ROADS- Adam Anderson
GROUNDS- Larry McMillin COMPLIANCE- Butch Williams
An informal discussion ensued regarding objectives for the coming year took place. There was a consensus that upgrading the website with more positive information about living in Wedgefield and adding general information, as well as creating a password protected section for residents only was desirable. The protected section would contain meeting minutes, financials and other proprietary information. It was agreed that more discussion would follow.
Also discussed was the possibility of purchasing a programmable sign for the entrance that could contain up to date event information, and the possibility of creating a facebook page for the plantation as another way to disseminate information to residents and property owners.
Events such as expansion of the Easter egg hunt to a community bar-b-que as well as additional community wide events were also discussed and will be further considered as the year progresses.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm
