WPA OPEN MEETING MINUTES
November 9, 2015
The meeting was called to order by Jacky Walton, President. Attending Inge Ebert, John Walton, Bob Garrison, Jacky Walton, Al DeMarchi, Janine Cline, and Adam Anderson. Absent: Larry McMillin and Keith Johnson.
Janine Cline stated that a quorum was established.
New Business: Roads Chairman, Adam Anderson gave an update on Phase 1 of the project. He had met with Coastal Asphalt to review the work done against the specifications of the contract. Following the review, it was determined that the job required less material and some altering of square footage, resulting in a decrease of Phase I estimated cost. The original amount of$152,732 was reduced to $121,229.
Adam made a motion to approve $110,000.00 for Phase 2, which would include· two additional repairs and 1 tree removal. A discussion followed by Al asking for Phase 1 to be completed before any Phase 2 money was to be paid. He also stated a complaint against Earthworks lack of oversight. Bob Garrison thought the complaint should be taken up with Earthworks before payment. The motion to approve no more than $110,000.00 for Phase 2 road repair was seconded by Bob Garrison and passed with 7 ayes.
Bob Garrison made a motion on Larry McMillin’s behalf, to approve $450.00 to pressure- wash the office, parking lot, and mailbox. Al seconded the motion and it passed with 7 ayes.
Janine Cline made a motion to approve no more than $600.00 for Kurt Russell to design a new website and include a one year maintenance agreement. This amount would be payable upon completion. The motion was seconded by Bob Garrison and passed with 7 ayes.
