Women of Wedgefield

(WOW) is an organization open to all women living in Wedgefield Plantation. This group was established in 1992 to provide the homeowners in the growing community the opportunity to build friendships and raise awareness of the many needs in the greater community of Georgetown.

In 2025, we have continued these purposes. We meet monthly and enjoy a wide variety of activities including lunches and dinners, say trips to local museums to enrich our understanding of this area, learning new skills, making crafts, and of course sharing fellowship. Each year we choose a charity to support financially and provide needed items on a wish list. For the 2024-2025 season, WOW supports two charities- St. Frances Animal Shelter and The Children’s Recovery Center.

The year’s activities are planned from September through June and dues is $30.
