WPA SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES February 6, 2025
Call to Order – Marilyn Weitz, 6:30PM
Attendance – Bryan Lawrimore, Blaine Beadle, Marilyn Weitz, Stan Earnhart, Jonathan Rutstein, Russ Cocain, Joe Myers, Adam Hall.
Absent– Mike Downs.
Quorum– Yes
Reports
Insurance Update- Marilyn Weitz: Met with adjuster and A&I Restoration team, drywall removed for inspection.
Structural engineer to visit next week. Damage fully covered minus deductible, deductible will be recovered from car rental company. Insurance team: Russ Cocain, Nate Nadeau, Jonathan Rutstein, Skip Reitmeyer and Mike Downs.
Driver is not a Wedgefield resident. Will update as we learn more.
Discussion re: subrogation process, insurance company expectations, independent adjuster option.
Drainage/Clemson visit- Adam Hall: Students in Capstone Design Program. Toured drainage and problem areas and spoke with residents. Design Program will work for 1 month, report to board in March, final report due April. Final report will be critiqued by professors and revised before presentation to Wedgefield. Expect more info in March and final report with recommendations in April.
New Business– First Readings:
WPA right of first refusal waiver and COA document revisions. Discussion, page 5/5 item 2, bylaws not ARC guide and item 3, construction vs repair requirements.
Stan motions to accept first reading, Jonathan seconds, all in favor, motion carried.
Wragg policy change to remove language re- mailing, allow electronic distribution/other distribution means. Bryan moves to accept. Motion carried.
Open Floor-
Joe Myers: Canal dredging contract with Carter Dredging has expired.
