WPA MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES January 24, 2025
Call to Order – Marilyn Weitz, 10:00AM
Attendance – Marilyn Weitz, Russ Cocain, Jonathan Rustein, Stanton Earnhart, Mike Downs, Bryan Lawrimore, Joe Myers.
Absent– Adam Hall, Blaine Beadle.
Quorum– Yes
Reports
Compliance- Stan Earnhart: 3 letters have been sent out to address non-compliance.
Document Review- Al DeMarchi: Motion to accept committee, all in favor, motion carries.
Grounds- Jill Huggins: Holiday decorations to come down once weather improves.
Roads- Mike Downs: No report.
Website- Bryan Lawrimore: Domain transferred to new host, new site active w/ public and private side, user accounts based on email on file with office. Final payment on website $2,720.00, any further upkeep will be at $125/hour. Bryan moves to make final payment, Joe seconds, discussion re; payment portal and testing. Motion amended to pay Monday after successful payment testing. Bryan amends motion to accept Stripe as payment processor and pay remainder contingent on successful test Monday. Jonathan seconds. All in favor. Motion carried.
Communications- Cindy Fry: Wragg ready for February, planning February 15th distribution date by email and community copies in office. Blood drive February 4th 9-12:30 at office. March 15th road cleanup needs volunteers, Blaine Beadle to organize. Planning Easter, 4th of July and other events.
Second Reading- payment processing fee 3%, Stan moves to accept. Discussion, all in favor. Motion carried.
Other Business
Bryan moves to split grounds committee into two committees, Landscaping and Plant, Property and Equipment. Discussion re- responsibilities, ‘catch all’ problem, how change will make accounting for committees better. All in favor, motion carries.
Audit
Joan Hodges, CPA reviews her audit report on the Wedgefield Finances from 2023.
Discussion of accounting, balance sheet, assets and taxes on various monies and tax return status.
Motion to accept and approve the 2023 audit. All in favor, motion carried. Final Audit copies will be available Monday. Please contact the WPA office for an appointment if you would like to review this or any other documentation.
