SPECIAL OPEN BOARD MEETING MAY 4, 2020
An open board meeting was called by President, Bob McMahan, to discuss additional funding needed to complete the drainage project at Governor Johnston and Wedgefield Road.
Present were: Gary Dreher, Peggy Phillips, Tom, Macedo, Bob McMahan, John Walton, Butch Williams, Jonathan Rutstein, and Larry McMillin, Absent was: Adam Anderson.
The meeting was called to order at 5 pm. It was then turned over to Gary Dreher to explain unforeseen problems with the drainage project that would require additional work and expense to complete. The contractor, J&S Landscaping, was requesting an additional $8,480, to bring the new cost of the project to $26,480. This would include a larger collection box to accommodate an additional drain line not included in the original proposal.
A motion was made by Gary Dreher and seconded by Butch Williams to allow for the additional funds. After discussion about the additional costs, a vote was taken. The results were 7 in favor- 1 opposed. It was agreed than an addendum to the original contract was to be drawn up to spell out the proposed changes.
Multiple discussions about a number of topics followed. The meeting was adjourned at 5:40 p.m.
